When I created this journal, I had two things in mind. I'd never
created a journal, and I wanted to give something different and special
to my parents, who just recently got back from a cruise to Alaska. I
thought this would be just the thing.

STEPS:
The first think I did to begin my travel journal, was look at my Color
Buddy. I chose the colors that I wanted to use from the Color Buddy
palettes. The colors of my papers did not match "exactly" to the Color
Buddy colors, however, they were close enough. I used a different
palette for each double page layout of my travel journal as well as the
cover.
What you choose to embellish your journal with depends totally on
you. You may have particular souvenirs that you want to include in
your journal, such as ticket stubs, airline tickets, or autographs. I
included a pocket on the first page of my journal so my parents recent
cruise tickets could be placed inside. You could make as many pockets
for your journal as you need, it's a cute and easy embellishment as
well as an awesome way to preserve your travel memories.
On each of my double plage layouts, I included a journal page as
well as a picture page. To make my journaling page, I used white card
stock, and printed lines on it from my computer, then cut it down to
size. That way, you can have plenty of room to journal about each of
your pictures.
I also embellished each of my layouts with a vellum from Bluegrass
Publishing's "Ultimate Vellums". They are unique as well as
inexpensive. They are not like other vellums you see out on the
market. Each quote is taken directly from one of Bluegrass
Publishing's books, then created with word art and printed on vellum.
I just love them. I can't wait until they come out with more themes!
In this particular board book I purchased, there were 60 blank
pages. I only decorated a few as an example of what you could do with
Bluegrass Publishing's Travel Vellums as well as Misti Tracy's Color
Buddy.
